TEDxSevenMileBeach is an independently organized TED event. On Thursday April 3, 2014 TEDxSevenMileBeach will feature a selection of storytellers and visionaries from the Cayman Islands and around the world, who will showcase their own ideas worth spreading, live to a diverse group of thinkers. Through their engaging stories, inspiring performances, and intriguing presentations, we will explore what it means when we all tap into the power of Connecting to Possibility.

TEDx was launched here on Grand Cayman on Monday (24 February) at TikkiBeach. The organiser and TED licencee is Marzeta Bodden. She confirmed there are eight confirmed speakers from Cayman and overseas, including local mental health professional Taylor Burrowes-Nixon and storyteller Lady Rabia Abdul-Hakim.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design.

TED is owned by The Sapling Foundation, a private nonprofit foundation, a 501(c)3 organization under US tax code. It was established in 1996 by Chris Anderson, who was at that time a magazine publishing entrepreneur.
