CAMANA BAY, GRAND CAYMAN–(Marketwired – Apr 16, 2013) – Tethys Petroleum Limited (“Tethys” or the “Company”) (TSX:TPL)(LSE:TPL) today announced the appointment of Denise Lay as Deputy Chief Financial Officer (Deputy CFO) with immediate effect.

Denise has been promoted from her previous position of Vice President Finance with the Company as part of the ongoing strengthening of the Company’s finance team. She has worked for Tethys since October 2009.

Denise is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with over 15 years of post qualification experience having worked for KPMG and several international companies, including the Gallaher Group PLC, Ricoh Company Ltd. and in a variety of industries including oil and gas. Denise graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Russian and French from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies of the University of London and has worked extensively in Kazakhstan and in Russia.
