The 6th Travelling Caribbean Film Showcase Dedicated to Music of the Caribbean
The Travelling Caribbean Film Showcase (TCFS) is an annual film festival representing filmmakers from the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa and its diasporas. The Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) is proud to be the Organising Committee for the Cayman Islands.
On October 29th, TCFS will be making its way to our sister organization, the National Museum. A selection from the 6th TCFS, RISE UP, will be screened in the Museum courtyard at 6.30pm. This poetic documentary film is directed by award-winning Argentinian cinematographer Luciano Blotta.
Want more TCFS? Dedicated to the Music of the Caribbean, the 6th TCFS will feature more than 25 films, and will take place in the Cayman Islands during Cayfest’s Red Sky At Night on Saturday, February 28th 2015! Click here to download the 6th TCFS programme. Don’t miss it!
Seeking a forum? Catch the 6th International Forum in Curacao from November 24th-26th, organized by the TCFS Office. The topic this year is “More or Less Visibility of Caribbean Cinema?” TCFS hosts annual film conferences in the Caribbean which are open to filmmakers, film authorities, exhibitors, cultural promoters and representatives of academic institutions in the wider Caribbean. Join the forums to discuss the most sensitive issues of the cinematographic and audio visual realities in our countries, build bridges of cooperation and conclude initiatives that contribute to the consolidation, development and visibility of Caribbean filmmakers’ work in the region and in other venues in the world.
