The Government of Cayman Islands will host the annual meetings of the Technical Advisory Committees (TACs) to the Grants Committees of The University of the West Indies (UWI) at the University College of the Cayman Islands, February 12-13, 2015.

The Committees will examine the Biennial Budgets for the period 2015/2016 & 2016/2017 of the four Campuses of The UWI (Cave Hill, Mona, Open Campus and St. Augustine), the University Centre and the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI).

The meetings are rotated annually, and since 1999, fourteen of the seventeen contributing countries have hosted these meetings. The Government of the Cayman Islands successfully hosted the meetings in 2008 and the University is pleased that they have kindly agreed to host same for 2015.

The meetings will commence with an Opening Session on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at which The Honourable Tara Rivers, Minister of Education, Employment and Gender Affairs of the Cayman Islands will deliver the Keynote address, and Mr. Winston Connolly, Councillor for the Ministry of Education, Employment & Gender Affairs will deliver the Opening Remarks.

Participants at the two days of meetings will include Permanent Secretaries and senior officers from the Ministries responsible for tertiary education of the seventeen contributing countries, representatives from Ministries of Finance of the Campus Countries (Barbados, Jamaica & Trinidad and Tobago) and the Ministry of Health in Jamaica. The Senior Executive Management Team of The UWI including the Vice-Chancellor, University Bursar, University Registrar, Principals, Pro-Vice-Chancellors and the Campus Bursars. The UHWI Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer will be in attendance.
