It is not often I thank a self confessed rapist who can only be described as the worst of all human beings but I do.

In our lead story, Jeffery Barnes, pleaded “Guilty” to abducting and raping a 49 year old woman.

And that’s why I thank him and I thank him from the depths of my heart.

The reason I say this is because the victim doesn’t have to go through the nightmare of re-living every detail of the events that took place on that dreadful day. Not only would she have to relive it she would be questioned on it.

Barnes’ attorney would be picking every morsel of her testimony to pieces to make out that she had in some way led the nice Mr. Barnes on to commit the most foulest of acts upon her person.

Barnes’ attorney would have to defend this disgusting specimen of humanity the best way he could, if not to actually get him off but to place some doubt in the judge’s mind that she was partly to blame.

I am sure it wouldn’t have, but the victim would still have had to go through it.

So, I say thank you Jeffery Barnes.

However, I pray to God the judge gives this evil man the longest sentence he can.

Unfortunately it will not be long enough.
