Yes, today (14) is Valentine’s Day. [Although I wrote this on the 13th]

Men. Are you going to do anything special for your love one?

Flowers? Card? Chocolates? Meal?

Me? Well. Done that many times over my 36 years.

No excuse for not doing it again…….

No matter how many dark days, and in every marriage there are some dark days, LOVE WINS!!

Last year at a televised live event, singer/songwriter Carrie Underwood performed her new song. She co-wrote it with Brett James and David Garcia.

She was heavily pregnant with her second child but that did not stop her singing it with tremendous passion. The song starts slowly at first and then goes at such a frantic pace you have to listen carefully to the words on the actual recorded release.

However, that night she gave us a first rendering the backing musicians didn’t attempt to drown out her voice and i picked up every single word and heard the cry in her voice as she meant every single syllable she sang. At the end of her performance she unashamedly broke down crying.

There was a stunned silence from the audience for a second before they all arose from their seats and clapped and cheered.

It was one of those magic moments that Carrie Underwood will never be able to repeat. Not with this song anyway.

The song has made an enormous impression on me and instead of repeating the story of Valentine’s Day once again I am going to publish the words of this song.
