Yesterday was the most important day in my life. It was my birthday. Not just any birthday. It was my 77th birthday.
So what? There are millions of people who reach and pass 77 years!
Ah. But I was not supposed to be alive to reach 77. I announced to the world – actually to my Christian brethren – five years ago when I was told this devastating news from my doctors, I would celebrate my 77th birthday FIVEFOLD and wanted all my brothers to celebrate it with me.
As the years got nearer to my untimely death I reminded everyone that I was proving the doctors wrong and only God knows when that event is going to happen.
I reminded my Christian brethren last February 29th (yes it is Leap Year) my next birthday was going to be the most important one of my life. I wanted to share it with everyone and give God thanks.
Alas. The coronavirus put paid to the physical part but we still have the the Internet. Over the Internet last Sunday my 77th birthday was announced to the world.
Yesterday I waited. I did receive unexpected greetings.Wonderful…… Thank you….
Alas, there was not one greeting from the people I expected. Zero.
You see, what is important to me is not important to you.
That, my dear readers is a fact of life and I should have learn’t from all those quotes above.
It doesn’t mean we are not loved. We just don’t have time to see the same importance unless it is actually US!!
A lesson we all must learn.
