Tortuga Robbery – police detain 2 after vehicle seized
From RCIPS – Tortuga Robbery Update:
At approximately 1:00 p.m. officers stopped a white Ford Ranger along North Church Street George Town. This vehicle was believed to be the vehicle used in the robbery at the Tortuga store on 8 June.
The two occupants of the vehicle, a 25-year-old man and 24-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of robbery and are currently in police custody assisting officers with their enquires.
“The RCIPS is seeking any information into this robbery. Persons wishing to provide any information can call any of the police stations or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477),” Chief Inspector Angelique Howell said.

In a brazen daylight raid, two armed men robbed the Tortuga Liquor store at Pasadora Place on Smith Road today.
At 16:52 police received a 911 emergency call saying that robbers had brandished guns at the staff, grabbed the cash register and ran out to the back of Pasadora place.
The suspects headed towards the Windsor Park direction.
Both men are described as light brown complexion, 6ft tall, wearing black hoodies, mask and black gloves.
