PADI Diving Society members returned to Grand Cayman’s Sunset House for another week of diving, parties and friends.

During the weeklong event (1-8 June 2013), Total Subers got a chance to dive with Dan Orr, President of Divers Alert Network (DAN); Marty McCafferty, DAN Medical Information Specialist; David Espinosa, Editor of Sport Diver and Elly Wray, Staff Photographer for Sport Diver. Additionally, Betty Orr, Vice President and Director of DAN Services was also on the boats taking photos and sharing stories with the guests.

Divers explored some of Grand Cayman’s most famous dive sites, took advantage of the unlimited shore diving on the Sunset House reef, enjoyed a Caribbean Nights party and dinner with acoustic duo, Hi Tide, and tried their luck at the Total Sub Underwater Poker Run. Plus, guests received a welcome packet full of goodies, free gifts throughout the week and tons of great prizes including a DAN First Aid Kit Backpack, Aqua Lung Mikron Regulator, GoPro HERO3 Silver Edition camera and much more!

What else happened at Total Sub? Well, we promised to keep some things a secret, but there was an intense round of Jenga, water fights, flag-stealing shenanigans, a photo scavenger hunt, tons of opportunities to dive, photo workshops, dive safety and travel seminars and a few other things. Total Subers ended the week exchanging email addresses, becoming friends on Facebook and making plans for their next dive vacation. It truly was an unforgettable event.  You can join PADI Diving Society next year for the 15th Annual Total Submersion Dive Festival. Stay tuned for more details!
