There was a loud roar at the “Annual Change of Administration and Installation Breakfast” on Saturday June 15th at George Town Yacht Club.

After members and guests ate a sumptuous breakfast during which many toasts were given (not the bread kind) the real business began

Paulette Connolly introduced the guest speaker Glen Mkabela immediately after Clint Powery, the Immediate Past President had given his year’s report mostly by video.

Mkabela was an entertaining speaker and his main theme was fellowship and respecting others.

Then came the installation of the Board Members that were all blessed by Past Lion Rev. Mary Graham.

Maureen Robinson gave an enthusiastic Acceptance Speech followed by a host of presentations. A raffle (and I won a prize for the second year running) and finally a Vote of Thanks from Marsha Webster.

I believe it will be another excellent year for the flourishing Club.
