Forced labor Norway Football Federation renews calls for migrant worker compensation The Norway Football Federation is expected to put forward a proposal urging FIFA to compensate exploited migrant workers on World Cup projects. Law & policy Australia must protect migrant workers who report exploitation Over 40 Australian organizations are calling on the government to urgently introduce protections for migrant workers who report their employers for exploitation, including forced labor and other forms of modern slavery. Led by Human Rights Law Centre and the Migrant Justice Institute, the coalition has put forward a proposal, entitled Breaking the Silence, which asks the Federal government to establish whistleblower protections that would allow migrant workers to report abuse without consequences for their immigration status.
