As a two-term Poet Laureate of the United States, Billy Collins is one of the most celebrated lyricists of our generation. Now, on the heels of the highly anticipated release of his first collection in twelve years, Collins visits Books & Books, Camana Bay to share his latest works and some old favourites. Join him on Friday, October 25 at 7pm for the Cayman Islands launch of Aimless Love: New and Selected Poems.

Part of the Books & Books International Visiting Author Series, this free event will include a special presentation moderated by UCCI President Roy Bodden, a group discussion and book signing.

About the Book

About the Author

Billy Collins is the author of ten collections of poetry, including Horoscopes for the Dead, Ballistics, The Trouble with Poetry, Nine Horses, Sailing Alone Around the Room, Questions About Angels, The Art of Drowning, and Picnic, Lightning. He is also the editor of Poetry 180: A Turning Back to Poetry, 180 More: Extraordinary Poems for Every Day, and Bright Wings: An Illustrated Anthology of Poems About Birds. A distinguished professor of English at Lehman College of the City University of New York, and a distinguished Fellow at the Winter Park Institute of Rollins College, he was Poet Laureate of the United States from 2001 to 2003 and Poet Laureate of New York State from 2004 to 2006.  He lives in Florida.
