A 20-year-old man, of George Town, was arrested last Friday night, 20 May, and has now been formally charged in connection with the robbery which occurred on Wednesday 4th May in the vicinity of Walkers Road, George town (first press release below). He will appear in court this morning.

Robbery near Walkers Road in George Town Last Night, 4 May

Yesterday evening, 4 May, police received a report of a robbery that had occurred near the Cayman Academy off Walker’s Road. A man had been riding his bike near the Academy when he was accosted by three men, two of whom wore hoodies and had their faces covered. They threatened the victim and demanded his valuables, including his phone and a quantity of cash. The incident occurred just before 11PM yesterday. The victim was not injured in the incident.
