UPDATE: Cayman – Deceased Man Identified

Police can now confirm that the man whose remains were recovered in the mangrove area of East End on Thursday, 30 November, has been identified. He is Adrian Williamson, a Jamaican national residing in Cayman, who was reported missing on 6 July, 2022, and was 26-years-old at the time of the report.
The RCIPS express condolences to Mr. Williamson’s family and friends.
The investigation into the circumstances of the incident remains ongoing.

Update: Police Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Deceased Man, 7 December
Police continue to investigate the incident where human skeletal remains were recovered in the mangrove areas of East End. Detectives are seeking the assistance of the public in possibly identifying the deceased.
The deceased is believed to be a male between the ages of 20 and 30 and approximately 5’11” tall. At the time that the remains were discovered, he was clad in a black top and black jeans with a grey Manchester United shorts underneath and black Jordan slippers on his feet.
An initial investigation of the circumstances of this incident has led to an expert anthropologist being engaged by the HSA, to examine the remains in an attempt to assist the investigation.
Forensic samples have been obtained and are undergoing complex examination and analysis that may assist with identification in the near future.
Enquiries relating to previously reported missing persons are being actively pursued.
