The man, age 54 of Bodden Town, who was arrested on Sunday 20 November 2022, has been formally charged with the murder of George Ian Duffell, which took place in West Bay on 14 October 2022.
He appeared in court today, Wednesday 29 November.

Today, 14 October, 2023 marks one year since the incident that resulted in the death of Ian Duffel, a 51-year-old-man of West Bay who was stabbed to death during an altercation in the Birch Tree Hill Road area of West Bay.
The investigation into this incident is still active and on-going and so far two men have been arrested in connection with the investigation. Detectives are still appealing for witnesses to come forward and provide information that may assist with the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Major Incident Room at 649-2930.

Detectives with the RCIPS are appealing for witnesses to come forward and assist with the investigation of a stabbing incident that led to the murder of Mr. Ian Duffell of West Bay. Investigators know that the incident was witnessed by persons driving by, and that a driver shouted to the assailant in an attempt to stop the assault, any information they can provide, however small, could assist with this investigation.
