The Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Department of Education Services (DES) confirm that following an investigation by the MASH Unit in conjunction with the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) relating to an alleged incident in May 2021 at Red Bay Primary School, the investigation concluded that there were no findings of misconduct against Dr. Frederick in relation to any student and that no further action was recommended.

As Dr. Frederick prepares to embark on a new journey after over three decades in the public education system, the Ministry and DES would like to wish Dr. Frederick all the best in her future endeavours.

We also ask all staff, parents, and the public to refrain from making mention of the alleged incident to Dr. Vickie Frederick and to respect her and her family’s privacy during this time.
