UPDATE: Two Missing Teens Located, Police Search for Third, 14 March
From RCIPS
14 March:
Shortly before 10:40PM last night, 13 March, officers responded to a report that missing teens, Jahsmine Ebanks, Shania Beckford, and Jemma Watson, had been seen on Seven Mile Public Beach, in the vicinity of the former Calico Jacks site. Officers in the area attended the location and Jahsmine and Jemma were taken into custody, however, Shania evaded the officers and ran south along the beach, with officers subsequently losing sight of her.
Out of an abundance of caution officers immediately conducted searches along the shoreline and in the water, with the assistance of the Air Operations Unit and the Coast Guard, but have so far been unable to locate her. Searches continue in the area this morning in an effort to locate her and ensure her well-being.
Officers are strongly encouraging Shania to attend the nearest police station or make contact to establish that she is safe and well. Any member of the public who sees Shania or is aware of her whereabouts is also encouraged to contact 9-1-1, or the West Bay Police Station at 949-3999.
