US based Caribbean blogger Jay Blessed, attacks taboo topics with ‘In My Head.’

For years, Jay Blessed has stood as a powerful brand on the Caribbean entertainment circuit. Jamie Alleyne at the helm, the Jay Blessed brand based in Brooklyn, New York has delved deep into topics of varying cultural and aesthetic interest.
From Caribbean politics, celebrities, food and beauty, Alleyne has written about it all. Her latest effort, a podcast that encourages an open minded approach to traditionally taboo topics, has everyone’s interest peaked. The weekly ‘In My Head’ podcast is rooted in Jay’s passion to promote physical, interpersonal, financial, sexual health and mental wellness that specifically speaks to an audience of African- American, Caribbean-American and Caribbean listeners. “The Podcast addresses taboo subjects and gives a face and voice to sensitive issues, silently and shamefully fought by many,” explains a media statement issued by the online outfit.
On August 7th, the ‘In My Head’ concept will be offered in a live experience format at Savvy Bistro in Brooklyn, New York. From 6pm, Alleyne will bring her very real, very raw, very relatable weekly podcast to life. “The event will feature a live recording, one-on-one interviews, and audience talkback on various life topics ranging from breaking generational trauma, the psychological relationship with ourselves and others, and even, surviving STDs (Sexually Transmitted Debts),” says Alleyne.
Rooted in Alleyne’s passion to promote physical, interpersonal, financial, sexual health and mental wellness, the first 12 episodes of the ‘In My Head’ podcast are available via Apple Podcast, Spotify, Google Play and other streaming platforms.
