The United World College (UWC) Cayman Islands will be holding an unveiling of a commemorative plaque at the new George Town Primary School (GTPS) playground to mark the 50th anniversary of the UWC movement.

The slogan for this year’s anniversary is “Celebrate with Action.”

A ceremony will take place at 12:00pm on Thursday, September 13, to unveil a plaque and benches to commemorate UWC’s participation in the planting of trees and landscaping to help the development of a new playground area for the GTPS students.

There will be brief speeches by Chairperson, Ms. Martin, and students prior to the unveiling event.

UWC hopes the celebrating actions will improve the experiences of Cayman’s youth in education.
