Forced Labor Activist urges companies to stop benefiting from Uyghur forced labor Jewher Ilham, Uyghur rights advocate and member of the Coalition to End Forced Labour in the Uyghur Region, this week urged businesses to stop sourcing cotton from China’s Uyghur Region. Uyghurs in China are reportedly forced to pick cotton by hand in horrific conditions, meaning there is a high risk that garments in shops around the world are tainted with forced labor. Read more… |
