Virgin further expands Caribbean programme
From Travel Mole
Virgin Holidays confirmed today that it has expanded its Caribbean programme with the addition of St Kitts & Nevis alongside Anguilla, bringing the total number of Caribbean destinations up to 14.
The operator has also added a range of new Virgin Holidays Experiences in the Caribbean, including a catamaran cruise in Antigua, a Havana Rum & Cigars tour in Cuba and a treetops tour in St Lucia.
In St Kitts & Nevis, Virgin will offer seven new properties. Late last month it revealed it had added three new properties in Anguilla.
Virgin Holidays said it expects thousands of customers to stay at the two new destinations within the next 12 months. Customers travelling to St Kitts & Nevis will fly via Barbados while those heading to Anguilla will travel via Antigua.
Nicki Goldsmith, head of Caribbean and Worldwide product, said: “Over the last three decades we’ve taken millions of British holiday-makers to explore the Caribbean. We know travellers love the scenic beauty of St Lucia, the hospitality in Barbados and the beaches of Antigua – but we have seen more and more demand for exciting adventures and far-flung destinations.
“We believe St Kitts & Nevis and Anguilla are going to be a real hit and we’re looking forward to sending more UK holiday makers to explore this beautiful corner of the world than ever before.”
