Webinar: “Celebrating Legal Gender Recognition” – Addressing Self-Determination and Trans Rights
New York, USA – November 13, 2023 – Outright International is hosting a webinar as part of its campaign, “Celebrating Legal Gender Recognition.” Coinciding with Trans Awareness Week, this webinar will bring together panelists who have shared their stories as part of the campaign to discuss the issues surrounding self-determined legal gender recognition.

Opening Remarks will be delivered by Neela Ghoshal, Outright’s Senior Director of Law, Policy, and Research.
The webinar will be moderated by Rikki Nathanson, the Senior Advisor of the Global Trans Program at Outright International.
The panelists for the webinar include:
– Antonia Moreira is a writer, human rights advocate, and impact strategist. She currently serves as the Director of Operations and Project Coordinator at Brazil’s award-winning Ateliê TRANSmoras Association, which focuses on the economic empowerment of trans people.
– Oscar Noel Fitzpatrick, a multidisciplinary activist, artist, facilitator, and researcher. Oscar, who comes from Ireland, is a Consultant to both the Global Youth and the Sex Characteristics Program at ILGA World. His research and advocacy work centers around digital citizenship and digitally mediated anti-gender violence.
