Wesley Bryan pledges donation for each birdie made during the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship
Proceeds will go to the tournament’s charity initiative, The Birdies for Charity Programme
SOUTHAMPTON, BERMUDA (October 25, 2022) PGA TOUR’s Wesley Bryan from Columbia, South Carolina, has committed to donating $100 to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship Birdies for Charity Programme every time he makes a birdie throughout this year’s tournament at Port Royal Golf Course, October 27-30.
This commitment to supporting Bermuda’s charities highlights the willingness and efforts of PGA TOUR players to ensure the host locations benefit from its endeavours to create a long-lasting impact on every local community.
Wesley Bryan earned the first PGA Tour victory of his career with a win in the 2017 RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Bryan edged out Luke Donald by one shot to take the title.
Bryan made his Bermuda Championship debut in 2020 and will compete in Bermuda again next week. The tournament title has since changed to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship after partnering with co-title sponsors; Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) and Butterfield, and these partners welcome Bryan’s fundraising efforts and thank him in turn for his support to local Bermuda charities.
In three days, the gates will open for the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course. The tournament commences on Thursday, October 27 and concludes on Sunday, October 30. The 2022 Championship aims to exceed its 2021 fundraising total of $646,792 and is appreciative of all support of the Birdies for Charity Programme.
