Wheego announces LiFe Rentals on Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands
Wheego Electric Cars, a U.S. manufacturer of all-electric cars, today announced that the Alexander Hotel in Cayman Brac will offer the Wheego LiFe for daily rental. The Wheego LiFe will be available at the hotel beginning September 21, the first day all-electric cars can be registered on the Cayman Islands. A press conference is scheduled for 4p.m. September 21, 2012 at the Alexander Hotel, located at the southern tip of Cayman Brac. The Honourable Juliana O’Connor-Connolly, Deputy Premier and Minister of District Administration, Works, Lands, and Agriculture will be in attendance.
The Wheego LiFe is available on the Cayman Islands through Wheego dealer Cayman Automotive, located at 256 Crewe Road on Grand Cayman. It comes fully-equipped with driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock brakes, power windows and locks, and optional air conditioning. The LiFe travels approximately 100 miles on a single charge, and can be recharged from any 100V outlet, or from a J1772-compliant charging station. It is available in red, white, blue, black, silver, and green. A two-seat subcompact car, the Wheego LiFe’s fit, finish and features are designed for today’s environmentally-conscious commuters.
