A new bill (SJR 33/HJR 72) has just been introduced to Congress that would amend the 13th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and end slavery once and for all.[1] The U.S. is 1 of just 17 countries put in the hot seat in the 2023 Global Slavery Index for practicing forced prison labor – one of the “most egregious forms of modern slavery.”[2] Join advocates, led by the formerly incarcerated and their families, and let’s right this wrong. |
