Woman charged for $2.1M theft
UPDATE: The 52 year old female arrested has been identified as Michelle Bouchard who was a member of Rotary Sunrise.

On October 10th 2012 a suspect was arrested at her home address in George Town on suspicion of theft and enquiries instigated.
After a lengthy and detailed investigation by the Financial Crime Unit of the RCIPS on Friday 14th June 2013 they charged a 52 yrs old female, who is a Canadian Citizen here on a student visa, with 8 counts of Theft totaling 2.1 million US dollars.
Other charges relating to Obtaining Property by Deception, Forgery and Money Laundering have also been registered at the Court.
The victim in this case is an elderly male who is resident on the island.
The accused will appear before the Summary Court on Tuesday 2nd July 2013.
