Bag snatch – George Town
George Town officers are appealing for witnesses after a 47-year-old woman had her bag snatched in Boilers Road last night.
Sometime between 8.30pm and 9.00pm on Thursday, 29 August, the woman was walking in Boilers Road when a man rode up on a bicycle. He suddenly snatched her bag before running off, leaving the bicycle behind.
The woman was not injured.
The suspect is described as being male, approximately 5’3” in height with a light complexion. He was wearing a red sweater with a black hood. He was last seen running off towards South Church Street and the direction of Hard Rock Café. It is believed that he may have been in that locality for some time prior to the incident.
