HOW TO GET KIDS TO DO WHAT YOU WANT!

In our attempts to be good parents and/or teachers and raise “good” kids” one area that many of us find frustrating is getting kids to listen, cooperate and follow instructions. This often turns into a power struggle where, even if the child is forced to obey, the result is rarely satisfying.

This presentation is designed to address this problem by using the latest research on the brain to help parents and teachers become more influential in the lives of their children.

Participants will learn;

• How to avoid the power struggle that  has kids becoming more resistant and parents more stressed .

• How to tap into your kid’s motivation to cooperate and the part of the brain that can actually hear and understand what you are wanting them to know.

• What to do when we “lose” it.

• How to regain control and respond more purposefully, while teaching your kids how to grow into healthy, happy, successfu l adults.

Dr.Bill Crawford Is a licensed psychologist            , author of four books and the father of two sons, 22 and 18.

He has a unique perspective on parenting and he shares this philosophy with such humour and energy, he is referred to as the “Steve Martin” of psychologists.
