We all live according to the “home-work-home” scenario, having rest from routine issues only on the days off, although these two days are often loaded with chores. 1. It broadens our horizons 

“People travel for two reasons: because they want to find something or because they want to escape from something,” says Lucy Clarke in her book “The Sea Sisters.” Different people have different reasons for this, but the overall result is always similar – a new experience, knowledge, friends, and happy memories. 

2. It helps you get to know yourself better

Away from home, surrounded by different people and walking on the streets, you have never visited before, you may take some time to dive into your inner self. You can find answers to questions you’ve been asking yourself for ages. New places always bring new emotions that can result in finding a new personality that was hidden inside. 

3. It brings a change of scenery

New people, new language, new streets, and houses – it all adds up to the excitement we get when we are traveling. Nowadays, when the whole procedure is so easy, this is a rest for your soul and body. You don’t need to worry about choosing a good hotel because there are travel agencies. You buy a ticket and start your adventure right away. The adventure itself is one of the reasons people can’t stay at one place for a long time.

4. It changes you for the better

We never return from a trip as the same people we were before. When traveling to a foreign country, we are to some extent lonely, so it is necessary to be able to find a common language with ourselves and not get bored.

Once you feel the happiness of being independent of other people, you will grow in your own eyes and win one point in life.

5. It recharges you 

Visiting a country where you have never been, getting acquainted with a foreign culture, and knowing its customs, you will receive very new impressions that can change you forever. By getting to know the world, you get to know yourself.

Traveling has already become one of the basic human needs. COVID-19 has made it difficult to go abroad. But the borders have begun to slowly open – and this year’s vacation already sounds like a plan, not just a dream.

Some countries are opening borders and easing quarantine measures, but this does not add confidence. The question of whether it is safe to travel now is still worrying and confuses many people. Perhaps the main state of affairs in recent months is uncertainty. Traveling is difficult (and sometimes impossible), but no one forbids dreaming of new adventures and making plans for the future. 

So why do we need to travel? To feel free and strong despite everything. To open unprecedented horizons, learn new and interesting, be inspired, and create. And also to experience life in its entirety, to expand the usual framework and find new facets in yourself.
