East End stabbing – Man due in court

A 32-year-old man has been charged and is due to appear in court in connection with a stabbing which took place within a house in the East End area in the early hours of Sunday 12 January, 2014.

The suspect has been charged with wounding with intent and carrying an offensive weapon. It is anticipated that he will appear in court this afternoon.

East End stabbing – Man arrested

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a stabbing which took place within a house in the East End area in the early hours of Sunday 12 January, 2014. The suspect was arrested later that day and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.

The injured man is still in hospital where his condition is described as stable.

On the 1 /12/ 2014 around 0109 hrs , the Police received a report that a 47 year old male had received multiple stab wounds to his back. The attack took place at the victims residence in East End. The assailant entered the victims residence and fled the scene after the injuries had been inflicted.

The victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. His condition is currently stable.
