Further Update – Water Related Death – Vicinity Eden Rock

The RCIPS can now name the deceased in the water related death yesterday in the vicinity of the Eden Rock as Timothy Denver Mullin aged 46-years-old of Etobikoe, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Timothy Mullin and his mother arrived on Grand Cayman on 1st March 2014 on vacation.

On Sunday 2nd March 2014 at about 4:00 pm he went snorkeling from the shore alone off Eden Rock whilst his mother remained onshore waiting his return.

At about 5:30 pm, two divers were returning to shore when they discovered the deceased’s body in about twenty feet of water motionless on the ocean floor in the vicinity of Eden Rock. The two divers carried the body ashore by Don Foster’s Dive, South of Eden Rock where he was transported by ambulance to the George Town Hospital.

At about 5:55 pm he was pronounced dead.

Police enquiries are ongoing and there appears to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Water related death in George Town – UPDATED

On Sunday 2nd of March 2014 at 5:29pm divers in the area of Don Foster’s Dive, South Church Street reported that they were returning to shore and located an unconscious male in about 20ft of water.

Police and EMS responded.

He is said to be a 46 year old male visiting from Canada.

Wounding in George Town

Police are carrying out inquiries into an incident which took place this  around 3:53am this morning (1) after attending a late night party on Shedden Road, George Town.

A man attending a party was accosted by a number of a number of other males and received a number of non-life threatening injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incidemt to contact Detective Constable Anderson at the George Town Police Station at 949-42222 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS
