Teen Leaders Club
In YMCA Teen Leaders Club, teens receive leadership training and learn the importance of social responsibility and service to others. Leaders Clubs meets once a week. Members also participate in social events, service projects and have the opportunity to go on trips and retreats. Leaders Club provides a safe, genuine place for teens and helps direct energy to positive outcomes.
One of the unique traits of Teen Leaders Club is that everything is run by the teens themselves. Even the meetings are run by the CAB (Club Advisory Board), consisting of a group of teens that are chosen by their peers to plan and organise meetings and monthly events. It’s about ‘Empowering Youth’.

Team Development Programmes
Impacting Results:
Improved Communication resulting from an increased awareness of how individuals send and receive information, the importance of “clarity” in communicating and how to recognise the variety of communication styles.
Increased Initiative is most likely to take place once team members better understand their roles in the organisation and take ownership of how each role is critical in the overall success of the team.
Boosted Morale and Camaraderie resulting from a fun, exciting, and insightful shared experience that represents managements’ commitment to a fulfilling and rewarding work environment.
Better Problem-Solving Skills are certain to surface as the group participates in activities which force them to explore the vast amount of possible solutions to a given problem, how to share resources and best practices and to embrace a feeling of empowerment that improves results.
Conflict Resolution is identified as a critical indicator of success within an organisation. We’ll discuss strategies for disarmament, reinforce the importance of embracing differences, and demonstrate practical techniques to produce positive results.
Decreased Stress as team members begin to apply best practices into their work and personal lives that enable them to sidestep anxiety-generating and time-consuming interpersonal issues.
Stronger Staff/Team Relationships lead to more bottom-line, measurable results. A critical indicator of any team that has experienced notable, long-term success is a high quality of relations amongst co-workers.
